When you're in Flint and craving a really huge mouth watering sandwich, you have got to make a quick stop at Hoffman's Deco Deli! This place is the famous one that unfortunately closes at 5:00PM during the winter, but we can assure you that is the only downside to eating at this place! It's so nice to walk into a locally owned business instead of a standard sandwich chain, and order a fresh high quality sandwich that will really fill you up and make you feel good. We really enjoy the brownies for dessert too! And we can't think of a nicer place to order food for your private parties or office events either! Who doesn't love a huge delicious sandwich or salad? This is the place to get them in Flint. Hands down the best!

White Horse Tavern has been a part of the Flint landscape for as long as we can remember, and we can't imagine coming to town without stopping in for a delicious bite to eat. The pizzas are why we love them best, but they also have delicious fresh salads that pair very well with those pizzas, and you can even opt for the stromboli if you're in the mood for something different. That's tough to find in Michigan too! We love the fish and chips here too, and the breakfasts are just out of this world. We strongly recommend ordering the steak and eggs along with a nice pint of Guinness. You haven't lived until you have tried that combination. A true match made in heaven. Half priced pizzas on the weekends too! Gotta love it! Very highly recommended.

When you've been out at the bars in Flint all night and you need a great late night place to get some grub and get rehydrated, give Mega Classic Diner a try. Everybody loves this spot because the portions are enormous and the service is old fashioned and friendly! We especially love the Flint coneys, and the curry chili fries are another favorite that we simply cannot get enough of. The hamburgers are also mouth wateringly good, and if you're in the mood for breakfast you can certainly get a great one right here. The vegetarian omelettes are one of the things we'd recommend most highly. For lunch you can't go wrong with a huge and hearty salad! You can find this one conveniently on Corunna Road. Very highly recommended!

Salvatore Scallopini is one of the few chain restaurants that we really go wild for, and that's because of their great old fashioned recipes and that old fashioned service that's so hard to find nowadays! The pasta is in fact homemade here, which you're not going to find at any other chain Italian restaurant that we know of. That makes all the difference in your delicious dishes like pasta polo pepperone, and even in the simple traditional favorites like spaghetti and meatballs! We're also big fans of the eggplant parmesan, which is really a cut above the rest. The decor is the same as it's always been here, but we appreciate that retro vibe, and if you can too, then we recommend you give it a try. Great soups and salads too!

When you are craving the delicious flavors of the Mediterranean, you need look no further than Taboon at the Valley right here in Flint! The brick oven is what makes all the difference in our opinion, and it's especially nice to sit near it when the weather is so chilly and cold! Vegetarians will go wild for the quality of the grilled vegetables brushed with healthy olive oil, and the almond rice pairs so perfectly with them. The chicken tawook with lemon is one of our favorite things to order as far as the entrees go, and all it needs is a little smear of that legendary garlic sauce to make it a truly heavenly dish. The perfect starter to any meal is of course their lentil soup! Great for vegetarians and meat lovers alike!

If you are seeking the best restaurant in Flint, and one of the best Chinese restaurants in the entire state, then the name you need to know is Empress of China. You will find exciting dishes here that you won't find at any of the other cookie cutter Chinese restaurants in the area! The Princess Chicken is truly top notch as far as we are concerned, and we also really enjoy the classic favorite, Moo Goo Gai Pan. The lunch specials will help you to save some money, and the China Town Special and Empress Combination are very nice choices too. If you love Almond Chicken, you'll be thrilled to know that you can order it two different ways here: boneless breaded like you'll find at other Chinese restaurants, and stir fried too! Very highly recommended!

Halo Burger is the kind of place that is beloved for its old fashioned hamburgers and all that old school charm that's too hard to find nowadays. The real difference is the fact that these are freshly handmade burgers rather than the precut ones that you're probably used to. They have green olives available too so you can put together your own tasty Greek burger at a fraction of the price you'll get them elsewhere! If you're a lover of great fries, you will really enjoy these, with the creamy potato texture inside and the crisp deep fried crunch on the outside. Just right. And for a drink, we would very highly recommend the Boston Cooler, which is tough to find elsewhere! Just perfect to wash down those burgers and fries. Don't miss this place!

There are quite a few places to get a great coney in Flint, but our top choice would have to be Angelo's Coney Island. They have real meat sauce on the coneys here, which is next to impossible to find in our state. If you're not in the mood for a coney, you can opt for one of their juicy burgers, and of course with either a hot dog or a hamburger you have got to get a massive order of their delicious french fries. No question about it. When we're on our way out we always grab one of their homemade pies too, because there's nothing better out there for the perfect midnight snack, or for a nice gift for your loved ones! Who doesn't appreciate a delicious homemade pie? And these are definitely a cut above the rest. Everything they offer here is highly recommended.

For lovers of great steaks and ice cold beers, there is Redwood Lodge in Flint. This place is nothing short of massive, so even when they are facing a huge amount of customers, there never seems to be any wait! The size of the restaurant also makes it very airy and comfortable, so you never feel cramped or in need of more space. The house salad with gorgonzola, dried cherries, and walnuts is our favorite starter, and we also love the bread dipped in olive oil, vinegar, and spices. Delish. The Redwood special porter fish and chips is our top choice for an entree, and definitely try the beer samplers, scotch flights, tequila flights, or wine flight sdepending on your taste preferences! A truly unforgettable dining and drinking experience awaits.

Sushi and steak lovers in Flint can rejoice, because Sagano Japanese Bistro is bringing the flavor each and every night. We can't get enough of this place. Our favorite thing is to sit at the teppanyaki tables and watch the chefs work their magic. Sitting at the sushi bar is also a real delight, especially if you love to watch a true sushi chef create mouth watering rolls right in front of you. The double crunch roll and the dynamite roll are probably our two favorites, and we love the From Russia With Love. Very highly recommended. You'll love the tempura chicken if you're not much of a seafood eater (or even if you are!), and you will definitely want to nosh on their miso soup and ginger salad while you wait for your rolls or nigiri to arrive. Fantastic!
